The ABHI Bus service had limited stops and provided direct access to Lohegaon airport. Contrary to Abhi bus, the regular city bus service makes multiple stops, but if time isn’t an issue, these buses remain a budget-friendly option for reaching the airport.

The airport is a civil enclave on an Indian Airforce (IAF) base, which makes it a military airport with a section dedicated to civilian flights. The airport shares its airfield with the Lohegaon Air Force Station, which is a significant base for the Indian Air Force. As a result, the airport’s operations are subject to certain military protocols and restrictions.

The civilian side of the airport handles both domestic and international flights, while the military side supports the operations of the Indian Air Force. This dual-use nature of the airport is a key factor in its operations and infrastructure.

The newly operational terminal will feature five lounges, with three lounges dedicated for domestic passengers and two for international flyers.
